Similar to bad weather hit the northwest the previous evening, Manchester City swept Manchester United aside at the Etihad. It was a statement three-nil win for the City coach's side thanks to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that clearly signaled their championship potential as they strengthened their standing at the WSL pinnacle.
